Have you ever visited an orchard…in the spring?! This was an idea I would never have thought of if Suzie (mom!) hadn’t brought it up with me at our pre-shoot meeting. BRILLIANT. Sitting down with parents ahead of our sessions is such an important part of the process for me because I get to hear all the beautiful details of what family life looks like right now. Who’s starting to walk, who just lost their first tooth, the new baby brother everyone is fighting over, and current family traditions that will guide the plan for our session. Not only did we get a gorgeous day amidst a spring full of rain, but we were practically the only guests at the orchard! I loved that everyone was able to roam the space and spend time enjoying life together. No pre-meditated shot list, no forced smiles, just having a Saturday with the people they love most.
When we met for their image reveal, mom and dad helped me put together a gorgeous book and we designed three images to sit on the wall in their bedroom. So every morning when they wake up, their beautiful family will be the first thing they see. I hope you enjoy their sweet memories 🙂
