Today’s post contains some of my favorite engagement images in Back Bay that I’ve ever shot, with a couple who are getting married at one of my favorite venues, The Fairmont Copley. When I first spoke to Jen and Jon, I knew we were a great fit. They live in Brooklyn and both work in smallish start-ups, and I loved that they’d both also been bitten by an entrepreneurial bug. Jen grew up outside of Boston, so they were planning their nuptials in her hometown, and were looking for a documentary style photographer for their wedding. Of course, once they mentioned their dog Simba has his own instagram account (@tacoterrier), I knew this was a perfect pairing.
We started at Jen’s parent’s home in Back Bay, and strolled through some nooks and crannies in the neighborhood. I often find that the best images are ones that suddenly present themselves by virtue of a willing couple and the right light. Today was no exception. We eventually stumbled upon an alley along Storrow Drive with a direct view of the Pru that I’d never seen before. Jackpot. I loved spending this morning with Jen and Jon, and I can’t wait to document the big day in Boston this July.
