Christina and Peter began their relationship Harvard Business School but they share one other common denominator: they were both raised in China. In fact, Christina emailed me from the far east to inquire about wedding photography after being referred by another KKP client. We had our first call about at 9:30PM Boston time on a Tuesday evening, which was 9:30AM in Hong Kong. They were looking for a documentary photographer to capture their wedding celebration on a cross-section of the Boston backdrop. I love that they had the vision to suggest celebrating their new marriage at Harvard Business School, where they met. So we spent one evening casually combing the campus in Christina’s absolutely stunning gown and Peter’s crisp tux – from classrooms, to study spaces, to the gorgeous archways that are so quintessentially Boston. The next night we headed over to Beacon Hill, making stops at Acorn Street, the Boston Garden, and even took a ride on the carousel at the Boston Common.
I flexed my creative muscles in a few new ways, using a 6″ prism to create some beautiful reflections and a plastic sandwich bag (yup you read that night) over the hood of my lens to create a dreamy effect. I love how intimate and creative these images are, and I’m thrilled to be sharing them with you today. Congratulations to Christina and Peter on the start of a long life together!
