What do people from Boston do in the middle of the coldest, most brutal winter of all time? We head North! Crazy as it is, a few of my photographer friends and I decided to take advantage of the last week of New Hampshire’s Ice Castles Exhibit. Let’s just say it was a good 15 degrees colder up there than it was in Boston that day, which means it was COLD. The weather changed what seemed like every 5 minutes, from 20mph winds and white out conditions, to sunshine and puffy white clouds. The staff routinely provides maintenance to these manmade creations so you’ll see some shots of people climbing these incredible creations with crampons. The spectacle of these handmade castles alone was incredible, but add in the lightshow within them after dark and it was simply breathtaking. There are slides and passageways and a throne that you’d swear was Elsa’s. A great spot for kids and adults alike. Enjoy the chilling beauty.
